Description:
I made this pie for my dad on Father's Day instead of the usual apple pie. He loved it!
Ingredients:
Graham Cracker Crust:
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/2 cup melted butter
2 Tbsp. sugar
Filling:
1 can Comstock Strawberry Pie Filling
4 sliced bananas
Topping:
1 cup whipped cream (I used 1 box of Nestle All Purpose. but 2 would be better.)
handful of chocolate chips
Directions:
Mix the graham cracker crumbs, sugar and melted butter and press onto the sides and bottom of a pie pan. Set aside. (I chilled it in the ref.)
Slice the bananas and mix them together with the pie filling. Pour into the pie crust.
Whip the cream. It's better if it's chilled (not frozen) before whipping. Spread this over the strawberry banana filling.
Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top.
Chill before serving. That's it! No bake! :)
looks yummy even though I'm no huge fan of bananas :) how do I whip if I don't have a beater? (I feel my question sounds like a dumb one coz, well, I'm really not much of a cook, hehe) anyway, nice of you to share this :)
ReplyDeleteI use a rotary egg beater (manual at that!) but if you have an electric mixer or wire whisk, you can use those. I doubt that a fork will suffice!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big fan of bananas either, but the strawberry syrup drowns out the bananas. hehehe...
Sha, those chocolate chips came from you. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLovely!!! Me want some :)
ReplyDeletewow. looks super yummy. is the strawberry filling available in all grocery stores?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure. I know it's available in SM CDO and Robinson's CDO in the baking section. :)
