Cake:
3/4 cup cocoa powder*
2-1/4 cups flour
1-1/2 tsp baking powder
1-1/2 tsp baking soda
2 cups sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 c oil
2 eggs
1 cup milk
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup boiling water

Combine all the dry ingredients. Make a well in the center, then add the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. Pour into a greased 9x13" cake pan and bake at medium heat (350 degrees) for about 30 minutes or until done. Cool.
Frosting:
2/3 cup cocoa powder
1-1/2 cups sugar
1 cup milk
2 tsp butter
1-1/2 cups sugar
1 cup milk
2 tsp butter
Combine cocoa, sugar and milk in a saucepan or preferably a double boiler over low heat stirring constantly until it thickens. Remove from flame. Add the butter and stir until it melts.
* My mom heard from Nang Saling that they are using Ricoa chocolate in the Lodge now, but I like using Bensdorf or Hershey's.
